AP SET Exam Date 2026 Overview

Andhra University, Visakhapatnam is conducting the Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (AP SET 2026) on behalf of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The test determines the eligibility of Indian nationals for the post of Assistant Professor in universities and colleges located in the state. The official exam dates have now been released. The AP SET 2026 will be held on 28 and 29 March 2026 in computer-based mode across various centres in Andhra Pradesh. The online application window has closed, and hall tickets will be available for download from 19 March 2026. Candidates are advised to visit the official website regularly for the latest updates.

AP SET Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification Candidates must have a Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from a UGC-recognised university/institution with at least 55% marks (without rounding off) for General/EWS category. For BC/SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender candidates, the minimum requirement is 50% marks.
• Candidates appearing in the final year of their Master’s degree or whose results are yet to be declared may also apply provisionally. They must complete the degree with the required percentage within the stipulated time as mentioned in the official notification.
• Age Limit There is no upper age limit for appearing in the AP SET 2026.
• Additional Requirements Candidates must be Indian nationals and fulfil all other conditions mentioned in the official notification.

AP SET Selection Process

1. Written Examination (Paper I – Teaching & Research Aptitude and Paper II – Subject-specific)
2. Qualification in the examination makes candidates eligible for Assistant Professor positions

Instructions for Downloading the AP SET Admit Card

1. Visit the official website apset.net.in
2. Click on the “Hall Ticket” or “Admit Card” link (will be active from 19 March 2026)
3. Enter your Application Number / Registration Number and Date of Birth / Password
4. Submit the details to view the hall ticket
5. Download and take a clear printout
6. Verify all details printed on the admit card
7. Keep the printout safe for the examination day
8. Contact the helpline immediately in case of any discrepancy
