PSTET Admit Card 2026 Overview

The PSTET Admit Card 2026 has been officially released today, 9th March 2026, at for all registered candidates. The exam is being conducted by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Punjab. The Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test is scheduled for 15th March 2026 (Sunday) in two shifts. This eligibility test certifies candidates for Primary Teacher (Classes I to V) and Upper Primary Teacher (Classes VI to VIII) positions in government and government-aided schools across Punjab. Candidates must use their User ID and password to download their respective admit cards from the official portal. All registered applicants are advised to visit pstet2025.org or pstet.pseb.ac.in at the earliest to retrieve their hall ticket before the exam date.

PSTET Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification – Paper I (Classes I to V):

  • Senior Secondary (12th Class) with at least 50% marks, and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
  • Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and passed/appearing in D.El.Ed as per NCTE relaxed norms
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed from a recognised university (with mandatory 6-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education within 2 years of appointment)

2. Educational Qualification – Paper II (Classes VI to VIII):

  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in B.Ed from a recognised university
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed under NCTE relaxed norms
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 4-year B.El.Ed or B.A./B.Sc.Ed programmes

3. Age Limit: There is no minimum or maximum age limit for appearing in PSTET 2026.

4. Domicile / Residency: Candidates from other states can apply, but reservation benefits are available only to Punjab domicile candidates. Outstation applicants are considered under the General category only.

5. Additional Note: Final-year students of eligible teacher training programmes (D.El.Ed, B.Ed, B.El.Ed) may apply on the basis of their appearing status.

PSTET Selection Process

Stage 1: Written Examination (OMR-based, offline)

Stage 2: PSTET Qualifying Certificate issued to candidates meeting the cut-off

Final: Candidates with the certificate become eligible to apply for Punjab government teacher recruitment vacancies as and when announced by Punjab School Education Boar

Instructions for Downloading the PSTET Admit Card 2026

  1. Open the official PSTET portal in your browser: pstet2025.org
  2. On the homepage, look for the link labelled "PSTET Admit Card 2026" under the Latest Announcements or Notices section.
  3. Click on the admit card link. You will be redirected to the candidate login page.
  4. Enter your Registration Number / User ID and Password in the respective fields.
  5. Fill in the captcha code if prompted, then click Login or Submit.
  6. Your PSTET Admit Card 2026 will appear on the screen.
  7. Carefully verify all details — name, father's name, roll number, paper (I or II), exam centre address, reporting time, and shift.
  8. If all details are correct, download the PDF and save it on your device.
  9. Take at least two clear A4-size printouts using a good-quality printer before the exam date.

 

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR EXAM DAY

  1. Carry a printed admit card. The hard copy of the PSTET Admit Card 2026 is mandatory. Entry will not be permitted without it under any circumstance.
  2. Bring a valid original photo ID. Accepted documents include Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, PAN Card, Driving Licence, or Passport. Photocopies are not accepted at the examination centre.
  3. Carry two recent passport-sized photographs. These may be required for identity verification or biometric attendance at certain centres.
  4. Report at least 60 minutes before your scheduled exam time. Candidates must arrive at the venue at least 60 minutes before the start of their respective sessions. Late entry may be denied.
  5. Do not carry prohibited items. Electronic devices including mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth earphones, calculators, and any electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
  6. Use only a blue or black ballpoint pen for marking the OMR sheet. Gel pens may cause scanning issues.
  7. Do not bring bags, purses, or wallets into the examination hall. Keep all personal belongings outside or in designated areas.
  8. If your admit card shows incorrect details such as wrong name, centre, or photograph, contact the official PSTET helpline at helpdesk@pstet2025.org immediately and do not wait until exam day to resolve the issue.
