RRB Technician 2026 Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: For Technician Grade I Signal, candidates need a Bachelor's degree in Science (Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Instrumentation) or a three-year Diploma in Engineering in relevant streams from a recognized institution. For Technician Grade III posts, Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the relevant trade or Course Completed Act Apprenticeship is required. Qualifications must be obtained by the closing date of application.
• Age Limit: As on 01-07-2025, 18 to 33 years for Technician Grade I Signal and 18 to 30 years for Technician Grade III posts. Relaxations apply: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, up to 10-15 years for PwBD depending on category, and specific provisions for Ex-Servicemen, serving railway staff, and others as detailed in the notification.
• Additional Requirements: Candidates must be Indian citizens, meet medical fitness standards as per railway norms, and possess the required technical qualifications. No domicile restrictions specified.
