JEE Main Session II 2026 Overview

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is responsible for conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, a national-level entrance test for undergraduate engineering, architecture, and planning programmes at institutions like NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutes. For the academic session 2026-27, Session II aims to provide candidates another opportunity to improve their scores or appear if they missed the first session. The process involves online registration, fee payment, form correction, downloading admit cards, appearing in the exam, and subsequent result declaration, leading to centralised counselling for admissions.

JEE Main Session II Application Fee

• General / OBC EWS Fee: Rs 1000 (Male, Single paper) / Rs 800 (Female, Single paper) /

JEE Main Session II Eligibility Criteria

• Educational qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent in 2024, 2025, or be appearing in 2026, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or a Technical Vocational subject.
• Age limit (as on cut-off date): There is no age limit for appearing in JEE Main.
• Entrance exam requirement: This is the entrance exam itself; candidates need to qualify for admissions through subsequent counselling.
• Additional official conditions: Candidates can attempt JEE Main for up to three consecutive years, with a maximum of six attempts across sessions. Reservations apply as per government norms for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, and PwD categories.
