TG TET Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: For Paper I (Classes 1-5) - Intermediate/Senior Secondary with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/BC/Differently-abled) and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or 4-year B.El.Ed or equivalent. For Paper II (Classes 6-8) - Graduation with 50% marks (45% for reserved) and B.Ed or equivalent as per NCTE guidelines.
  • Age Limit: Minimum 18 years as on November 15, 2025; no upper age limit.
  • Mandatory Requirement: Qualifications must align with NCTE norms for teacher eligibility.
  • Age Relaxation: Not applicable due to no upper age limit.
  • Any other official conditions: Candidates appearing in final year of qualifying education programs are eligible, subject to passing before certificate issuance.

TG TET Selection Process

  1. Written Examination: Candidates appear for Paper I, Paper II, or both based on desired teaching level.
  2. Qualifying Marks: 60% for General, 50% for BC, 40% for SC/ST/PH/Ex-servicemen.
  3. Certificate Issuance: Qualifying candidates receive TET certificate valid for lifetime.
  4. Weightage: TET score carries 20% weightage in future teacher recruitment tests in Telangana.
