AAI Apprentice Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification (Graduate Apprentice): Full-time regular four-year B.E./B.Tech degree in Civil, Electrical, Electronics, CS/IT, Mechanical/Automobile, or BCA — recognised by AICTE, Government of India.
- Educational Qualification (Diploma Apprentice): Full-time regular three-year Diploma in Engineering in the above-mentioned streams, recognised by AICTE.
- Educational Qualification (ITI Trade Apprentice): ITI/NCVT certificate in Computer Operator Programming Assistant (COPA) or Steno trade from a recognised institution.
- Age Limit: Minimum 18 years, Maximum 26 years as on 31st March 2026.
- Age Relaxation: Applicable as per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and other eligible categories.
- Previous Apprenticeship: Candidates who have previously completed or are currently undergoing apprenticeship — either in AAI or any other organisation at the same qualification level — are not eligible.
- Work Experience: Candidates with 1 year or more of job experience after attaining the essential qualification are not eligible to apply.
- Nationality / Domicile: Indian nationals who are domiciles of Delhi, Chandigarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, or Uttarakhand are eligible.
