AIIMS NORCET 10 Vacancy 2026 Overview

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has released the official notification (Notice No. 17/2026 dated 24 February 2026) for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test – NORCET 10. This recruitment aims to fill 2551 Nursing Officer (Group-B) positions across AIIMS New Delhi and various other participating AIIMS institutes and hospitals nationwide. Eligible candidates can now register online from 24 February 2026 onwards. The selection will be based on a two-stage computer-based test followed by document verification and medical examination. AIIMS NORCET 10 Application Fee

• General / OBC / EWS: ₹3000/-
• SC / ST / EWS: ₹2400/-
• Persons with Disabilities (PwBD): Exempted (₹0)
• Payment Mode: Online via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking (transaction charges, if any, extra). Fee once paid is non-refundable except SC/ST candidates who appear in the exam will get refund after certificate verification.

AIIMS NORCET 10 Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification
  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognised Institute/University OR Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing, AND registered as Nurses & Midwives with State/Indian Nursing Council.
  • OR Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) from a recognised Institute/Board, registered as Nurses & Midwives, PLUS two years’ experience in a minimum 50-bedded Hospital after acquiring the qualification.
• Age Limit (as on 16 March 2026): 18 to 30 years
• Mandatory Requirement: Valid registration with Indian/State Nursing Council and (for GNM candidates) valid post-qualification experience certificate.
• Age Relaxation: As per Government of India rules applicable to respective AIIMS/Institutes (SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years, PwBD – 10 years, PwBD+SC/ST – 15 years, Ex-Servicemen – 5 years etc.).
• Any other official conditions: Candidates must fulfil recruitment rules of the respective participating institute. Experience must be after completing the course, declaration of result, and registration.

AIIMS NORCET 10 Selection Process 

1. NORCET Preliminary (Online CBT – qualifying nature, 100 MCQs)
2. NORCET Mains (Online CBT – 160 MCQs, merit-based)
3. Final: Document Verification + Medical Examination

• Only candidates qualifying Stage-I will be called for Stage-II (up to 5 times the vacancies). Final merit and seat allocation will be based on Stage-II performance only.

3. Click on “New Registration” and fill basic details to create login credentials.
4. Verify email and mobile number through OTP.
5. Login and fill the detailed application form – personal, educational, experience and preference details.
6. Upload scanned documents: recent photograph, signature, educational certificates, nursing registration certificate, experience certificate (if applicable).
7. Pay the application fee online and submit the form.
8. Take a printout of the confirmation page and keep it safe for future reference.
