Assam Police Grade IV Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Minimum Class VIII passed from a recognized school; maximum HSSLC (Class XII) passed. Specific qualifications apply for posts like Nurse (GNM), Pharmacist (Diploma in Pharmacy), Tailor (ITI in Tailoring), etc.
• Age Limit (as on 01 January 2026): 18 to 40 years for most posts; 18 to 25 years for Commando Battalions posts; 21 to 40 years for Nurse, Craft roles, etc.
• Mandatory Requirement: Registered with local Employment Exchange in Assam; must speak Assamese or any state language fluently; Proof of Permanent Residence in Assam.
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST(P)/ST(H); 3 years for OBC/MOBC.
• Any other official conditions: Relevant training/experience certificates for trade posts; physical standards (height, chest, weight) as specified; sound health with no deformities.

  • Good mental and bodily health, free from physical deformities or diseases (e.g., diabetes, heart disease, hernia, piles, respiratory issues, knock-knee, flat foot).
  • No color blindness or squint eyes.
  • Eyesight: Distance vision of 6/6 in at least one eye and no poorer than 6/9 in the other (without correction); near vision must be normal.
  • Varicose veins are considered a temporary disqualification.

2. Register using your mobile number, Employment Exchange Number, qualification details, district, gender, caste/category, date of birth, and Aadhaar number.
3. Log in with the Application ID or mobile number and date of birth.
4. Select the relevant advertisement and fill in personal, educational, and experience details.
5. Upload required documents: photo (max 450 KB JPEG/JPG/PNG), signature (max 100 KB), age proof, education certificates, experience/training proofs, Employment Exchange Card, Aadhaar, and caste certificate if applicable.
