BPSC ATPS Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Post Graduate Degree or equivalent in Town Planning, Regional Planning, Urban Planning, City Planning, Country Planning, Transport Planning, Housing, or Environmental Planning from a recognized university.
• Age Limit (as on cut-off date mentioned in noti): Minimum 21 years; Maximum 37 years for unreserved male, 40 years for unreserved female/BC/EBC, 42 years for SC/ST.
• Mandatory Requirement (e.g. valid PET score): None specified.
• Age Relaxation (brief): As per Bihar government rules for reserved categories.

BPSC ATPS Selection Process 

1.  Written Examination (Objective type) – Two papers: General Studies (125 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours) and Optional Paper (Planning or Remote Sensing & GIS with Urban & Regional Studies specialization, 125 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours). Total 200 marks. Minimum qualifying marks: UR 40%, BC 36.5%, EBC 34%, SC/ST/Women/PwBD 32%.
2. Document Verification for qualified candidates.
3. Final: Medical Examination and merit list preparation based on written exam scores (tie-breakers: Optional paper marks, then age, then alphabetical order in Devanagari). No interview.
