BPSC Factory Inspector Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification — Degree in any branch of Engineering, Technology, or Medicine from a recognized university, or equivalent qualification as notified by the State Government in the Gazette. Regular MBBS is accepted under Medicine.
• Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025) — Minimum: 21 years (as per rules); Maximum: 37 years (Unreserved Male), 40 years (Backward Class/Extremely Backward Class Male & Female, Unreserved Female), 42 years (SC/ST Male & Female).
• Mandatory Requirement — Two years of practical experience in Engineering, Technology, or Medicine in a reputed firm or government department. Practical training during university course counts up to a maximum of 1 year. Knowledge of reading and writing Hindi in Devanagari script is essential.
• Age Relaxation — As per Bihar Government rules, including additional provisions for ex-servicemen and regular Bihar Government employees (limited to 5 opportunities after 12.12.2022).

1. Shortlisting based on average percentage of marks from Matric to minimum required qualification (if applications exceed vacancies, candidates called 5 times the number of posts).
2. Interview (100 marks) and Educational Qualifications (100 marks: Matric 10, Intermediate/+2 20, Graduation 60, Post Graduation 10).
