CSB BTC Forest Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification – Forester-I: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University. – Forest Guard: Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination passed.
• Age Limit (as on 01 January 2026): Minimum 18 years – Maximum 40 years.
• Mandatory Requirement: Candidates must belong to the BTC area (including candidates from the 60 newly added villages in Biswanath and Sonitpur districts under BTC’s Udalguri District). Candidates must also be registered with the Employment Exchange of Assam.
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates (as per government rules).
• Physical Standards (required for Physical Efficiency Test): Height, chest measurement, vision standards and no squint eyes as prescribed in the official notification.

CSB BTC Forest Selection Process 

1. Physical Efficiency Test (Walking Test – Male: 26 km in 4 hours; Female: 16 km in 4 hours) followed by Medical Examination
2. Written Examination (100 marks, objective type, 3 hours duration, no negative marking)
3. Viva-Voce (20 marks)
