Goa SSC Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification — For most posts (Constable, Matron, Warden, Forest Guard): Passed Secondary School Certificate (SSC / 10th) from a recognised board. Higher qualification (HSSC or Bachelor’s Degree in Science subjects) required for Platoon Commander, Round Forester and Range Forest Officer.
• Age Limit (as on 13 March 2026) — 18-28 years for Police Constable posts; 18-30 years for Matron/Warden; up to 45 years for Range Forest Officer and certain other posts.
• Mandatory Requirement — Candidates must meet physical standards (height, chest, weight) and qualify the Physical Endurance Test (PET). Knowledge of Konkani is mandatory (minimum passing marks required).
• Age Relaxation — 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, up to 10-15 years for PwD, Ex-Servicemen, Home Guards and other categories as per Goa Government rules.
• Any other official conditions — 15 years continuous residence in Goa is mandatory for most posts.
