GPSC Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification — Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree from a University established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature or a Deemed University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. This applies to all listed posts
- Age Limit — As on the last date of online application: Minimum 20 years and Maximum 35 years
- Mandatory Requirement — For Deputy Superintendent of Police, candidates must meet specific physical standards and undergo physical/medical examination. General fitness is expected for other posts as per recruitment rules

GPSC Selection Process
- Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) – One paper on General Studies (200 marks, 3 hours). Qualifying in nature
- Stage 2: Main Examination (Written Descriptive Type) – Includes language papers (qualifying) and merit-based General Studies/Essay papers
- Stage 3: Personality Test (Interview) – 150 marks for candidates who qualify the mains
- Final Merit / Document Verification: Based on mains marks + interview performance. Document verification follows for selected candidates. For Dy.SP, physical test is mandatory
