GSSSB Physiotherapist Recruitment 2026 Overview

The Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB) has announced recruitment for 212 posts of Physiotherapist (Class-3) under the Health and Family Welfare Department. This includes 138 posts in the Public Health Division plus additional 56 posts in Medical Services Division and 18 in Medical Education & Research Division, taking the total to 212. Eligible candidates with a Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy (BPT) can apply online through the OJAS portal. The application window is open from 24 February 2026 to 05 March 2026. • Unreserved (General) Category: ₹500/-
• Reserved Categories (SEBC, SC, ST, EWS, PwD, Ex-Servicemen) and All Female Candidates: ₹400/-
• Payment Mode: Online only through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI or Wallet (transaction charges extra). Fee is non-refundable except in cases where candidates appear in the examination as per rules.

GSSSB Physiotherapist Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized University or institution. Basic knowledge of Computer Application as per Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967. Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both languages. Registration with Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP) is mandatory at the time of application; candidates must register with Gujarat State Council for Physiotherapists as soon as it is constituted.
• Age Limit (as on cut-off date): 18 to 35 years (cut-off date will be mentioned in the official notification; generally the last date of online application).
• Mandatory Requirement: Valid IAP registration certificate, computer knowledge certificate (if applicable), and language proficiency proof.
• Age Relaxation:

 – General Category Women: 5 years (up to 40 years)

 – Reserved Category Men: 5 years (up to 40 years) 

– Reserved Category Women: 10 years (up to 45 years)

GSSSB Physiotherapist Selection Process 

1. Single-stage Written Examination (Computer Based Response Test – CBRT or OMR) – 210 marks, 3 hours duration.

 – Part-A (60 marks): Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation (30 marks) + Mathematical Reasoning (30 marks) 

– Part-B (150 marks): General Knowledge (Indian Constitution, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English) + Subject-specific Physiotherapy questions (120 marks) 

– Negative marking: ¼ mark for each wrong answer 

– Minimum qualifying: 40% marks separately in Part-A and Part-B

2. Document Verification (approximately 2 times the number of vacancies)

3. Final: Merit list based on written exam marks + medical fitness test
