Indian Air Force Agniveer Eligibility Criteria

• Educational QualificationScience Subjects: 10+2/Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics & English – minimum 50% aggregate and 50% in English OR 3-year Diploma in specified engineering streams with 50% marks OR 2-year Vocational Course with Physics & Mathematics (50% marks). Other than Science Subjects: 10+2/Intermediate in any stream with 50% aggregate and 50% in English OR 2-year Vocational Course (50% marks). Candidates qualified for Science group are also eligible for Other than Science group. Percentage is calculated exactly before decimal (49.99% = 49%).
• Age Limit (as on cut-off date mentioned in notification) Born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2009 (both dates inclusive). Upper age limit on enrolment should not exceed 22 years (extended as per corrigendum).
• Mandatory Requirement Only unmarried male and female Indian citizens. Candidates must give undertaking not to marry during the 4-year engagement period. Female candidates must undertake not to get pregnant during service.
• Age Relaxation No additional relaxation mentioned except the one-time age extension in the corrigendum for this intake.
• Any other official conditions Candidates must meet medical, physical and visual standards as prescribed by IAF. Domicile certificate is mandatory for state-wise shortlisting.

Agniveer Vayu 01/2027 Exam Pattern (Phase-I Online Test)

• The test is conducted online (Computer Based Test) in bilingual mode (English & Hindi) except the English paper. Questions are objective (MCQ) type and based strictly on CBSE 10+2 syllabus.

Marking Scheme (Same for all groups)

• ✅ Correct Answer = +1 mark
• ❌ Wrong Answer = –0.25 mark (negative marking)
• ❓ Unattempted = 0 mark
• Marks are normalised across different shifts/sessions.

Important Note: Candidates must qualify in each subject separately and also secure the minimum aggregate marks to be shortlisted for Phase-II.

Indian Air Force Agniveer Selection Process 

1. Phase-I Online Test (Objective, bilingual) – Science/Other than Science papers as applicable. Normalised marks used for shortlisting.
2. Phase-II at Air Force Selection Centre – Document verification, Physical Fitness Test (1.6 km run, push-ups/sit-ups/squats), Adaptability Test-I & II.
3. Final: Phase-III Medical Examination at IAF Medical Centre. Final merit list prepared state-wise.
