NBCC Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Varies by post — 3-year Diploma in relevant Engineering discipline (60% marks) for Junior Engineer posts; Full-time Degree/Diploma/PG as specified for Assistant Manager, Graduate Assistant & higher posts. All qualifications must be full-time and recognized by AICTE/UGC/State Technical Board.
• Age Limit (as on 05 April 2026): 28 years for JE & Graduate Assistant posts; up to 54 years for General Manager (post-specific upper age limits given in notification).
• Mandatory Requirement: Indian National; relevant post-qualification experience for most posts (NIL for fresh JE posts).
• Age Relaxation: As per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwD/Ex-Servicemen. Additional 5 years relaxation for internal NBCC candidates (regular/contractual) as per rules.
• Any other official conditions: Candidates must fulfill all criteria mentioned in the detailed advertisement.

NBCC Selection Process 

1. Computer Based Test (CBT) for Junior Engineer (S-3) & certain E-1/E-2/E-3 posts
2. Skill Test (for E-0 Graduate Assistant posts)
3. Personal Interview (for E-1 & above posts)
4. Final: Document Verification & Medical Examination (Note: Selection pattern may change based on number of applications. Decision of NBCC is final.)
