RRB ALP Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification — Candidates must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) from a recognized board, along with an ITI certificate in a relevant trade from an institution recognized by NCVT/SCVT. Alternatively, a Diploma or Degree in Engineering in a relevant discipline is also accepted as per the official notification.
• Age Limit — Minimum age: 18 years. Maximum age: 28 years (as on the cut-off date specified in the official notification). Candidates should verify the exact cut-off date from the official CEN 01/2026 document.
• Mandatory Requirement — Candidates must possess a valid ITI/Diploma certificate at the time of application. No relaxation on this criterion.
• Age Relaxation — OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years. SC/ST: 5 years. PwBD (General): 10 years. PwBD (OBC): 13 years. PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years. Ex-servicemen: as per government norms.
• Nationality / Domicile — Candidates must be Indian citizens. Subjects of Nepal, Bhutan, and certain categories of migrants may also be eligible as per standard Railway recruitment norms. Refer to the official notification for full details.

RRB ALP CEN 01/2026 Selection Process 

Stage 1: First Stage Computer Based Test (CBT 1) — 75 Questions, 60 Minutes

Stage 2: Second Stage Computer Based Test (CBT 2) — Part A (100 Questions, 90 Minutes) + Part B (75 Questions, 60 Minutes, qualifying in nature)

Stage 3: Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) — Qualifying stage; only for ALP posts

Final Merit / Document Verification: Based on normalized marks from CBT 1 and CBT 2 Part A. Document verification and medical examination follow shortlisting.
