RRC WR Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Overview

Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Western Railway has released the official notification for Apprentice recruitment under the Apprentices Act, 1961. A total of 5,349 apprentice vacancies have been announced across various divisions and workshops. Eligible candidates with 10th pass and ITI qualification can apply online through the official portal. The selection will be based on merit prepared from academic marks.

RRC WR Apprentice Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:
  Candidates must have passed 10th (Matriculation) with minimum 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board and possess ITI certificate in the relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
• Age Limit:
  Minimum Age: 15 Years
  Maximum Age: 24 Years
  (Age calculation as per cut-off date mentioned in official notification.)
• Mandatory Requirement:
  Valid ITI certificate in the concerned trade is compulsory.
• Age Relaxation:
  SC/ST – 5 years
  OBC – 3 years
  PwBD – 10 years
  (As per Government of India rules.)
• Other Conditions:
  Candidates must meet medical fitness standards prescribed by Western Railway authorities.

RRC WR Apprentice Selection Process 

1. Preparation of merit list based on average percentage marks in Matriculation (min 50%) and ITI (all semesters).
2. Document Verification at respective divisions/workshops.
3. Final: Medical fitness examination (certificate required); no written test or interview.
