UCIL Apprentices Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: ITI in relevant trade for Trade Apprentices; Diploma in relevant engineering for Technician Apprentices; Degree in relevant field for Graduate Apprentices.
• Age Limit: 18 to 25 years as on 28/02/2026.
• Mandatory Requirement: Candidates must have passed the qualifying exam and possess all mark sheets/certificates.
• Age Relaxation: As per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST (5 years), OBC-NCL (3 years), PwBD (10 years), and other categories.
• Any other official conditions: Preference given to land displaced persons, local candidates from project-affected areas, and employees' wards.

1. Preparation of provisional merit list based on percentage of marks in qualifying examination.
2. Physical verification of original documents at the time of joining.
3. Final: No exam or interview; selection purely on merit.

UCIL Apprentices How to Apply

1. Visit the NAPS portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) for Trade Apprentices or NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in) for Technician/Graduate Apprentices.
2. Register as a student by providing email and mobile number, then activate the account via email link.
3. Complete the profile by filling in personal, educational, and other details.
4. Upload required documents including mark sheets, certificates, photo, signature, Aadhaar, PAN, and any preference-related proofs.
5. Select the desired trade and UCIL unit (Jaduguda/Narwapahar or Turamdih).
6. Submit the application before February 28, 2026, and save the confirmation for reference.
7. For preferences like land displaced or employee wards, submit hard copies to UCIL's Central Personnel Section by the last date.
