OPSC PGT Final Result 2026 Overview
The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) conducts recruitment for Post Graduate Teachers in government higher secondary schools under the Department of School and Mass Education. OPSC PGT Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Master's Degree in the concerned subject from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate, or integrated six-year Post Graduate Master's Course from Regional College of Education recognized by NCERT with minimum 50% marks.
- Age Limit (as on 01 January 2024): Minimum 21 years, maximum 38 years.
- Mandatory Requirement: B.Ed. or equivalent degree from a recognized institution (mandatory for subjects like Botany, Chemistry, Economics, etc.; not mandatory for Commerce, Geology, etc.).
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/SEBC/Women/Ex-Servicemen; 10 years for PwD (permanent disability 40% or more); cumulative up to 15 years for SC/ST/SEBC PwD.
- Any other official conditions: Must be able to read, write, and speak Odia; passed Middle School Examination with Odia as language subject or equivalent.
