SSC Steno Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University as of the crucial date mentioned in the notice.
- Age Limit: For Stenographer Grade C, the age should be between 18 to 30 years. For Stenographer Grade D, the limit is 18 to 27 years. The cut-off date for age calculation is August 1, 2026.
- Mandatory Requirement: Aspirants must be proficient in Stenography. Those who qualify the computer-based exam will have to appear for a shorthand skill test (Dictation and Transcription).
- Age Relaxation: Upper age limit relaxation applies as per government norms: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PwBD candidates.
- Nationality / Domicile: The candidate must be a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan as per the standard SSC guidelines.
