PSPCL Junior Engineer Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification — Candidates must possess a full-time regular 3 or 4-year Diploma in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Civil Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks. Higher qualifications like B.E., B.Tech, or B.Sc. Engineering are also acceptable if the candidate holds the requisite percentage.
• Age Limit — The age of the applicant should be between 18 and 37 years as on 1 January 2026.
• Mandatory Requirement — Knowledge of Punjabi is essential. Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th) or its equivalent level with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects.
• Age Relaxation — Upper age relaxation is provided as per Punjab Government norms: 5 years for SC/BC, 10 years for Physically Handicapped, and relaxation for Ex-Servicemen based on their years of service.
• Nationality / Domicile — While Indian citizens can apply, reservation benefits are strictly limited to those holding a valid Punjab Domicile certificate.

PSPCL Junior Engineer Selection Process 

• Stage 1: Online Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of 100 Objective Type Questions.
• Stage 2: Document Verification (DV) for candidates clearing the merit cutoff.
• Stage 3: Medical Examination conducted by the designated civil surgeon.
• Final Merit / Document Verification: The final merit list is prepared solely based on the marks obtained in the Online Test, provided the candidate clears the DV process.
