NEET UG 2026 Admit Card Overview

The National Testing Agency has officially updated the status for the upcoming medical entrance examination. Registered candidates can now prepare to access their documentation through the designated portal. As per the official notification released by the National Testing Agency, the entrance test is scheduled for early May. Applicants must verify their login details to ensure a smooth download process. The official portal confirms that all hall tickets must be carried in printed form to the designated test centres.

NEET UG Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually in Class 12 or equivalent. A minimum aggregate of 50% is required for General category, while 40% is required for SC/ST/OBC applicants.
  • Age Limit: Applicants must have completed 17 years at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31 December of the year of admission.
  • Domicile / Residency Requirement: Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), and Foreign Nationals are eligible to apply.
  • Age Relaxation: There is no upper age limit for candidates appearing for the NEET UG 2026 examination, following recent judicial directives.
  • Additional Requirement: Candidates must possess valid identification documents and meet the medical fitness standards prescribed by the respective admitting authorities.

NEET UG Selection Process

  • Stage 1: Written Examination
    • Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology).
    • Total Marks: 720 marks.
    • Duration: 200 minutes (3 hours and 20 minutes).
    • Negative Marking: Plus 4 for correct answers; minus 1 for incorrect responses.
  • Stage 2: Counselling Process
    • Conducted by MCC for All India Quota and respective state authorities for state quota seats.
  • Stage 3: Document Verification
    • Final verification of academic and category certificates at the allotted college.
  • Final: Merit List Declaration based on All India Rank.

Instructions for Downloading the NEET UG 2026 Admit Card

  1. Open the official website: https://neet.nta.nic.in/
  2. Look for the Public Notices or Candidate Activity section on the homepage.
  3. Click on the link titled NEET UG Admit Card 2026 Out - Download NEET Hall Ticket at neet.nta.nic.in, Exam Date 3 May.
  4. Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth in the specified fields.
  5. Verify the Security Pin (Captcha) and click on the Submit button.
  6. Your admit card will appear on the screen in PDF format.
  7. Carefully verify all printed details including your name, exam centre address, and reporting time.
  8. Download and save the PDF, then take at least two clear printed copies on A4 paper.

 

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR EXAM DAY

  1. Candidates must carry a clear printed copy of the admit card with a passport-size photograph pasted on it.
  2. Bring one original authorized photo ID (Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Passport) for verification at the gate.
  3. A postcard-size (4"x6") colour photograph with white background must be pasted on the Proforma downloaded with the admit card.
  4. Avoid bringing electronic items, including mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, or any Bluetooth devices.
  5. Follow the prescribed dress code: light clothes with long sleeves are not permitted; slippers or sandals with low heels are allowed, but shoes are not.
  6. Reach the examination centre at least two hours before the commencement of the test to complete biometric registration.
  7. The National Testing Agency strictly prohibits any stationery items like pens, scales, or writing pads inside the hall.
  8. Contact the NTA helpline immediately if there is any discrepancy in the photograph or signature printed on the admit card.

Documents Required With NEET UG Admit Card 2026

  • Admit Card: A clear, colour printout of all pages of your NEET UG Admit Card 2026 on A4-sized paper.
  • Affixed Passport Photograph: One recent passport-size photograph must be pasted in the designated space on the admit card before reaching the centre.
  • Postcard Size Photograph (4”X6”): A colour photograph with a white background must be pasted onto the Proforma which is downloaded alongside the admit card.
  • Additional Passport Photograph: Carry at least one extra passport-size photo to be pasted on the official attendance sheet inside the examination hall.
  • Valid Photo ID (Original): You must carry a government-issued identification document. Acceptable IDs include:
    • Aadhar Card (Updated with recent photo)
    • PAN Card
